Live from Bercy, COSMETIC VALLEY is coordinating with FEBEA the 6th cosmetics industry committee chaired by Mr. Sébastien Martin, Minister Delegate for Industry.
More than thirty leaders are mobilized to represent a strategic sector for France: 6,300 establishments, 226,000 jobs, an industrial flagship of our economy that makes Made in France shine all over the world.
In an international environment characterized by:
The industry is more mobilized than ever to defend its global leadership.
Today, we reminded the government:
Despite the challenges, the momentum continues: environmental transition, cosmetics and sustainable sectors, innovation and research, employment and training, investments, and of course the House of Cosmetics, which will open in 2028 in Chartres, a symbol of our excellence and attractiveness.
A united, committed sector, determined to continue promoting French excellence throughout the world.
At its press conference, COSMETIC VALLEY unveiled a strong and deliberate strategy: Regeneration.
In a world undergoing profound change – economic, environmental, technological and cultural – it is no longer just a matter of adapting, but of becoming a driving force again. A driving force of innovation, competitiveness, sustainability and influence.
𝐑𝐞́𝐠𝐞́𝐧𝐞́𝐫𝐞𝐫, 𝐜'𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐮-𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚̀ 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐫𝐞́𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
It is about revitalizing the sector, strengthening the entire value chain, stimulating the economy, developing skills, multiplying innovation, accelerating the ecological transition and consolidating French and European leadership in cosmetics.
This strategy is embodied around 6 main chapters, driven by a strong conviction: 💡cohesion and cooperation are the levers of sustainable growth.
With the Regeneration strategy, COSMETIC VALLEY is opening a new cycle for the French perfume and cosmetics industry: more resilient, more collective, more ambitious.
✨ Together, let's write the history of tomorrow's cosmetics today.
At the COSMETIC VALLEY press conference, we presented the results of a study conducted with the ESSEC BEAUTY CHAIR.
One clear observation: practices are evolving rapidly — and differently depending on the market.
𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞: essential in China and India, still hesitant in France where trust remains a hindrance.
𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐞́ 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞́𝐞 (𝐈𝐀 & 𝐑𝐀): strong appeal but needs support, especially in Europe.
𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞́: the desire is there, but the solutions are not visible or accessible enough.
Brands have a key role: more transparency, more education, hybrid experiences combining human + digital.
This study was conducted by Alessandra Sciacovelli, Clara Lorey, Chu-Chu PAN (students of the ESSEC BEAUTY CHAIR), under the supervision of Marc Mazodier (Professor of Marketing, and co-holder of the ESSEC BEAUTY CHAIR).
In a world undergoing profound transformation, 2026 commits us to solidarity, innovation and collective action.

The BIOECOI project, funded by the European Union and the Réunion Region, aims to create a sector of high added-value ingredients from the following territories: Réunion, Mauritius, Rodrigues, and Seychelles.
Qualitropic and COSMETIC VALLEY are joining forces to conduct a rapid survey (less than 5 minutes) aimed at professionals in the cosmetics industry: brands, formulators, manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, processors, etc.
Even if you don't have all the answers, your participation will help structure local sectors.
Complete the questionnaire: https://lnkd.in/eK9SygJ2 .
The results will be shared with local stakeholders during workshops and published on the Qualitropic website: www.qualitropic.fr .
Thank you for your valuable contribution!

Unveiled at the COSMETIC VALLEY General Assembly, the Maison de la Cosmétique project marks a major milestone for the French cosmetics industry. In 2028, facing the majestic Chartres Cathedral, a unique space will open its doors to professionals and the general public alike.
At the crossroads of know-how, culture, innovation, territories and transmission, the Maison de la Cosmétique -- supported by COSMETIC VALLEY - is a structuring project that will effectively embody and share French cosmetic excellence in all its forms, revealing the behind-the-scenes of the industry, its history, its professions, its secrets and its future.
Skincare, hygiene, perfume, makeup—everything from skincare to hygiene products will be represented. The goal: for every industry player to fully identify with it, and for the general public to grasp its richness.
📍 An emblematic place of 2,650 m² including:
1000 m² dedicated to industry players for training, exchange, and innovation.
1260 m² of permanent and temporary exhibitions with the Cosmétopée Garden at its heart, serving the general interest.
A long-standing partner of COSMETIC VALLEY, Chartres Métropole is fully committed to the realization of this major project by taking charge of the building's renovation. By transforming this space into a space dedicated to the cosmetics industry, the community is providing the industry with a setting that lives up to its ambitions.
The Maison de la Cosmétique, designed by Wilmotte & Associés, sits elegantly and humbly opposite Chartres Cathedral, revealing its heritage while asserting a contemporary identity. Noble materials, architectural sobriety, and environmental ambition make this project a symbol of excellence, reflecting the industry it represents.
Whether you are a start-up, a small business or a large group, whether you work in raw materials, packaging, formulation or research: this project is yours.
Chartres Métropole, with an investment of €14 million, is providing the industry with an exceptional setting. It's up to us, the cosmetics industry's players, to bring it to life. COSMETIC VALLEY is counting on your support to bring the Maison de la Cosmétique to life— your Maison.
By getting involved, you're contributing to a meaningful public interest project that will physically anchor the founding values of our industry. A place for sharing, transmitting, and preserving our cultural and industrial heritage. A fun place designed to discover careers and awaken the talents of tomorrow. Finally, a place that embodies the universal utility of our industry and its contribution to the well-being of humanity.
This project is supported by the COSMETIC VALLEY Endowment Fund, which has supported our community service initiatives since 2014, providing a solid framework for the project. The Maison also benefits from the support of the Eure-et-Loir department and the Centre-Val de Loire region.
