National AAP PLASTICS RECYCLING

National call for projects "Plastics recycling"

The use of industrial technologies for recycling plastics and using recycled raw materials (RPM) is essential to move from a linear economy to a circular economy.

This transformation makes it possible to limit the consumption of virgin resources, in particular fossil fuels, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the life cycle of plastic. The production of MPR can also contribute to reducing our industry's dependence on fossil resources and be a major growth lever for competitiveness and employment in France.

This call for projects is part of the France 2030 investment plan, which aims to develop industrial competitiveness and future technologies. One of the first conditions for achieving the objectives set by this plan is to secure access to raw materials, in particular by mobilizing materials from recycling. To this end, France 2030 will mobilize an envelope of 300 million euros in public support to strengthen investment in the recycling and incorporation chain of plastics.

In line with the national strategy "Recyclability, Recycling and Reincorporation of recycled materials" presented by the Government on September 13, 2021, this section of France 2030 specifically targets support for the industrialization of plastic recycling processes. It aims to bring out innovative players within the sector, to meet the needs of the French economy by 2030.
