THE COSMETIC VICTORIES celebrates excellence in research and innovation in the cosmetics industry by highlighting six exceptional projects selected by our scientific committee. This competition illustrates the advances that will transform the cosmetics industry in the years to come.

At this unique event, the nominees will present their projects to a prestigious jury composed of major corporations, who will elect the winners of this 10th edition. 🌊 The ceremony will be preceded by working groups from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on water management in our industry and innovations in the field of packaging, in partnership with European stakeholders.

Since the beginning of February, the 94 applications for THE COSMETIC VICTORIES 2025 competition have been reviewed. International scientific experts have studied the applications and evaluated the research effort of the academic projects as well as the innovation brought by the start-up and SME projects!

1. Water management in the cosmetic industry
Water is a precious resource at the heart of cosmetic production. We seek to identify innovative solutions to optimize its use and reduce environmental impact. Your participation in this questionnaire will contribute to a comprehensive mapping of current practices and opportunities for improvement.
2. Application of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in cosmetic packaging
Adopting a circular economy is essential for sustainability. This questionnaire aims to collect information on 3R strategies applied in cosmetic packaging, in order to develop ecological and innovative solutions.
By answering these questionnaires, you are actively contributing to the ecological and digital transition of our industry. The results will guide the development of solutions adapted to the current and future challenges of the cosmetics sector.

11 projects supported by the sector during the last COSMETIC VALLEY Board of Directors meeting
The Board of Directors of COSMETIC VALLEY has validated the official support of the French sector by affixing its label to 11 new projects.
Prior to the Board of Directors, the COSMETIC VALLEY scientific committee, composed of 19 research institutions, meets every 6 weeks to confidentially audition research and innovation projects that require official support from the network. Thank you for the mobilization of these academic researchers.
This support gives you market credibility in the sector for your innovation and allows us to cite it as an example, with your agreement, once it has been finalized.
11 labeled projects on various subjects such as:
- The development of biotechnological processes for the production of natural active ingredients within the framework of a European project,
- The study of the phenomena of interaction between water and ethanol for the production of perfume,
- Production of human sensory neurons to study cutaneous sensoriality,
- Process innovations for anhydrous cosmetics,
- Study of pigmented skin for the personalized objectification of active ingredients,
- Green extraction under pressure for the valorization of plant bioactives,
- Specific microRNA screening of anti-aging plant extracts.
- New routes for the production of esters by biotechnology
- Enzymatic hydrolysis using ultrasound
- UV filters by optical technology
- New sleeve packaging compatible with environmental expectations
Innovation projects to meet the challenges of the sector in terms of consumer safety, expectations in terms of product performance as well as environmental impact, which are the priorities of our sector.
