5th LABELING FOR THE COSMETIC VALLEY COMPETITIVENESS CLUSTER

Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate in charge of Industry, announced this Monday, March 27, alongside Harold Huwart, representative of the Regions of France and Vice-President of the Centre-Val de Loire Region, the winners of the competitiveness clusters.

COSMETIC VALLEY is thus labeled for the fifth time by the State to coordinate the French perfumery-cosmetics sector and contribute to strengthening its competitiveness: " Our industry must face major challenges of transitions (ecological, digital), innovation , investment, training, recruitment... Finally, it must reaffirm France's soft power in an increasingly tough competitive context: cosmetics is an asset for the attractiveness of our country, the image of France is a vector for the development of our export sector ”, explains Christophe Masson, Managing Director of COSMETIC VALLEY.

For this new phase, COSMETIC VALLEY is proposing an ambitious program around 4 priorities.

A strong presence in Europe

COSMETIC VALLEY has naturally positioned itself as the leader of the various European clusters, it leads an active network of international partners from its office in Brussels in 2021. The cluster's investment with the European Commission has enabled it to be winner of a Horizon EU “ACCT4COSMETICS” program of €3.6 million over 5 years to coordinate European dynamics of innovation and investment with the regions for the benefit of the entire sector.

A reinforced territorial anchorage

The division is continuing its development in France. At the start of the year, the association signed two partnerships, one with the Ile-de-France region, the second with the local authority of Martinique.

An industry increasingly committed to innovation

COSMETIC VALLEY supports the ecological and digital transition of VSEs and SMEs, through the France 2030 program.

The cluster launched IDCosm this year. Identifying, capturing and listing are part of the services offered by this platform, which helps to increase the number of collaborative projects.

Become the preferred channel for the talents of the future

Employment in the sector is an issue that conditions the leadership of the French cosmetics industry. To help companies in their recruitment, COSMETIC VALLEY is launching a media campaign to raise awareness among young people and promote trades in the sector with an intuitive platform that will also list trades, careers and offers in the sector.

An export strike force

COSMETIC VALLEY has been the export operator in the sector since 1996. It federates and accompanies companies at the biggest trade fairs in France and abroad.

On February 9, the cluster launched a new communication system. A real soft power strategy, this new identity positions France as the world leader in the sector, carrying values brought together under the signature FRANCE CARES FOR YOUR SKIN.
