Cosmé Tech: a challenge between start-ups to promote a more ethical cosmetics industry
Cergy-Pontoise Agglo and COSMETIC VALLEY are launching the first edition of the Cosmé Tech challenge. Open at the national level, this competition pits French start-ups against each other to propose innovative solutions capable of contributing to a cosmetics industry that is more respectful of our health and the environment.
A challenge to revitalize and empower a local sector of excellence
Candidates are invited to reflect on the concept of "Clean Beauty" in order to propose innovative solutions that address at least one of the two challenges :
Challenge #1: A safer cosmetic product for health
Challenge #2: Reduce the environmental impact of the cosmetics industry

Any tips for scoring points?
Zero controversial ingredients, local and ethical sourcing, green chemistry, biodegradable and bio-based packaging, clean and non-polluting cosmetics, reduction of over-packaging and plastics.
How does the challenge work?
An initial selection of projects will take place in July, followed by a development and coaching phase for the teams until October.
The 12 finalist teams will compete in the grand final, which will take place on [date].Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at La Turbine Port CergyThe Cergy-Pontoise Business Incubator and Business Park.
The finalist startups will present their innovations to a jury composed of industry experts and elected officials from the greater Cergy-Pontoise area.

Start-ups have until June 30, 2023 to submit their applications and try to win one of the prizes:

The Cosmé Tech challenge is open nationally to start-ups meeting the following criteria:

- Company established on the date of application
- Company less than 8 years old
- Companies generating less than €100,000 in annual revenue
Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2023.
