How to ensure the longevity of your stainless steel installations?
Avoiding leaks, maintaining, cleaning well without overdoing it, carefully selecting your stainless steel for your industrial installations: this also means saving water and addressing one of the major environmental challenges of tomorrow!
Industrialists, laboratories, quality control professionals, maintenance or new works professionals, purchasing departments, users of stainless steel tanks, this training module is for you!
PBy their very name, stainless steels enjoy a high level of trust among users. Yet, even the most basic precautions are sometimes not taken, generally due to a lack of understanding of how corrosion protection works.
HASThus, while contact with water may seem harmless, problems can arise precisely where they are least expected. These problems could be avoided if certain design, manufacturing, and usage rules were followed.
Surface discoloration: Should we be worried? How can we treat it?
Educational objectives
- Explain why stainless steel can rust.
- Identify the main corrosions of stainless steels.
- Recognizing the impact of cleaning products on stainless steel equipment.
- Use the vocabulary specific to the dialogue between the user and the manufacturer/designer.
Skills targeted
- Choose a grade of stainless steel according to the parts of your equipment.
- Using the correct terminology to argue with a supplier or subcontractor.
- Having a "whistleblower eye" regarding problems with the use of stainless steels, on new equipment or in equipment renovation.
A review of maintenance operations will conclude this training.
