Industry Committee – Together towards the industry of tomorrow
Live from Bercy, COSMETIC VALLEY is coordinating with FEBEA the 6th cosmetics industry committee chaired by Mr. Sébastien Martin, Minister Delegate for Industry.
More than thirty leaders are mobilized to represent a strategic sector for France: 6,300 establishments, 226,000 jobs, an industrial flagship of our economy that makes Made in France shine all over the world.
In an international environment characterized by:
- US tariffs and their already visible impact on our exports,
- The Chinese slowdown and the rise of local competition,
- Counterfeiting, dupes, and non-compliant imports,
- A European regulatory inflation that threatens innovation and competitiveness.
The industry is more mobilized than ever to defend its global leadership.
Today, we reminded the government:
- The urgent need for a more pragmatic regulatory framework,
- The importance of recognizing cosmetics as the 15th strategic industrial ecosystem in Europe,
- The need for an Export Committee dedicated to our sector, the second largest contributor to our country's trade balance,
- The challenges of the "Regeneration" strategy led by the coordinator of the COSMETIC VALLEY sector.
Despite the challenges, the momentum continues: environmental transition, cosmetics and sustainable sectors, innovation and research, employment and training, investments, and of course the House of Cosmetics, which will open in 2028 in Chartres, a symbol of our excellence and attractiveness.
A united, committed sector, determined to continue promoting French excellence throughout the world.
