Cosmetic Valley General Assembly in Chartres

June 30, 2010 - Chartres hosted Cosmetic Valley's 2010 General Assembly which was held in the Marceau room of the city hall.

This event provided an opportunity to take stock of the development of the cluster over the previous year and assess 2009:

- 27 new members

- 36 research projects under way since 2005 involving 71 companies (of which 55 are SMEs and 16 are groups) and 34 state research laboratories. Total R&D expenditure: 69 million euros

- Together with Centreco, Cosmetic Valley took part in seven international trade fairs, accompanying 63 businesses.br>
- Three congresses were held: Cosmetic & Sensory - from Neuroscience to Marketing - in June 2009 in Tours; the Space and Luxury Congress in September 2009 in Blois and the Perfumes and Cosmetics Congress on regulations in Chartres in November 2009.

- Setting up of a Think Tank to support the cluster's strategy.
