Signing of a sustainable development charter in the presence of Gerard Larcher and Chantal Jouanno

October 16, 2009 - Some 250 key players from competitiveness clusters from the clusters' seven sectors - business managers, academics, and local authority representatives - were alongside Alban Muller and Jean-Luc Ansel, the President and Managing Director of Cosmetic Valley, on October 16, 2009, for the launch of the charter in the presence of Gérard Larcher, Senate President and Chantal Jouanno, Secretary of State for the Environment.

Among those who took part in the presentation of the charter were:
Sylvie Faucheux, President of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University,
Martin Perrier (Carbon Mission Manager for the National Forestry Office) and Patrice Lafargue (IDEC President and private partner of Cosmetic Valley), who spoke on Cosmetic Valley's carbon sink project in Madagascar
Alain Grangé Cabanne, President of FEBEA (the Beauty Businesses Federation) to show the federation's support

Several business managers were also present including:
Marc-Antoine Jamet (General Secretary of LVMH, Dior, Guerlain, Kenzo, Givenchy brands etc.),
Daniel Guillermin (CEO Shiseido International France, Shiseido, Serge Lutens, Jean Paul Gaultier, Narcisso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake brands etc.),
Michel Barbaise (Director of Cegedis - Abo Cosmétique).
