Helping start-ups to gain access to the big brands

In the view of many experts, Open Innovation is a key to business competitiveness today that has no rival. Seeking competences outside of the business stimulates innovation, saves time and limits the risks associated with financing of R&D.

However, while we talk a lot these days about open innovation, you still need to know how to open  up access for start-ups and project leaders to relevant partners with whom they can develop their innovative products and services.

 

Open Innovation sessions at the trade fair

Thanks to the strength of its network, which numbers around fifteen prestigious names in the cosmetics industry, Cosmetic Valley has made a conscious decision to back Open Innovation and put in place an innovative system at the COSMETIC 360 trade fair for bringing together innovative project leaders (start-ups, laboratories, SMEs, microenterprises, etc.) and the decision-makers of the big names in the perfumery and cosmetics sector, such as BOOTS, CHANEL, JOHNSON&JOHNSON, LVMH RECHERCHE, PUIG and SHISEIDO. The interest is twofold: principals can set aside two days for meetings with project leaders, and project leaders can have several meetings with principals who are interested in their innovations.

 

An innovative system for making contacts at www.cosmetic-360.com

This system for making contacts operates via www.cosmetic-360.com and provides select, quality meetings. Register online (free for innovative project leaders) to obtain a visitor’s badge for 15 and 16 October and to gain admission to the Visitor Area. Register in the “Open Innovation Application” section, where you will find a project submission form which will register you to submit a request to the big names of the perfumery and cosmetics sector.

 

Sequence of events:

  • Up to 31 August 2015: submission of applications (which can be amended right up to this date).
  • September 2015: selection, request and acceptance of appointments with innovative project leaders.
  • 15 and 16 October 2015: appointments in dedicated areas at the Cosmetic 360 trade fair.

The COSMETIC 360 trade fair in brief

 

Dedicated to innovation in the perfumery and cosmetics sector, COSMETIC 360 will take place on 15 and 16 October 2015 in the Carrousel du Louvre. A showcase for 360° innovation, this top-end international trade fair will offer turnkey solutions in all areas of the sector, including ingredients and actives, formulation, design, packaging, logistics, testing and measurement, supply chain, services, marketing and distribution. Organised by the COSMETIC VALLEY competitiveness cluster, it is supported by the Ministry of Industry, the Banque Publique d’Investissement (BPIFrance) [Public Investment Bank], the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) [National Centre for Scientific Research], the Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté (FEBEA) [Federation of Beauty Companies], the Société Française de cosmétologie (SFC) [French Cosmetics Society] and the Société Française des Parfumeurs (SFP) [Society of French Perfumers].
