Presidency of Cosmetic Valley conferred on LVMH

Publié le : 24-06-2011

June 24, 2011 - At Cosmetic Valley's General Assembly at Rambouillet on June 24, 2011, the statuary Board of Directors was renewed for a new term and entrusted the LVMH Group with the new presidency of the valley.

Marc-Antoine Jamet, LVMH Secretary General, will represent the group in the new running of the cluster. He succeeds Alban Muller who held the presidency of Cosmetic Valley for six years from 2005 to 2011. The new president, who is vice president of FEBEA, (Beauty Businesses Federation) should pilot Cosmetic Valley strategy through to 2015 and prepare the cluster's new performance contract for the 2012-2015 period.

Following his election by a substantial majority (31 votes out of 37), Marc-Antoine Jamet thanked the retiring team and praised the dynamic of the cluster which has invested 250 million euros in its regions since its creation. "I wish to work closely with local authorities, and in a very collegial manner with the entirety of the cluster: large companies, SMEs, universities and training establishments," said the new president. He plans to keep developing the innovation and attractiveness of the entire area to enable Cosmetic Valley to obtain world cluster status.

A magistrate at the Court of Auditors, Marc-Antoine Jamet has been Secretary General of LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton since 2001 - a group which has been a member of Cosmetic Valley from the start under several entities: Guerlain (Chartres in Eure-et-Loir and Orphin in the Yvelines), Parfums Christian Dior and LVMH Recherche (Saint Jean de Braye in the Loiret).
