SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, A STRATEGIC ISSUE
Wide-ranging analyses of sustainable development in the perfume –
cosmetics industry have been instigated in the competitiveness cluster.
Members and partners are invited to consider tomorrow’s challenges
highlighted by the Grenelle environment statutes.
Charter for an eco-responsible Cosmetic Valley was launched on 16th October in Rambouillet, in the presence of Gérard Larcher, President of the Senate, and Chantal Jouanno the French State Secretary for Ecology.
The charter stands 4 points:
- :: Environment (energy, waste, transport, etc.),
- :: Product offer (safety, eco-toxicity, bioaccumulation, etc.),
- :: Philosophy of continued progress, and
- :: Social relations (fair trade, developing human resources, sponsorship, etc.).
By signing the charter, the Cosmetic Valley companies undertake to ensure the quality and safety of their products and services, respecting man and our planet.
